Choerodin Roadyn

Choerodin Roadyn is an artist who has created work from a deep adoration for realism's histories, techniques and capacities to inspire. Through his respect for form, he creates new worlds. While he always knew he wanted to be an artist, the road to finding his aesthetic was long and arduous. Born in 1978, Choerodin knew from a young age he wanted to be an artist, despite the best wishes of his parents that he pursue a more lucrative career. He attended college at The Indonesian Arts Institute, earning a bachelor's degree in fine art. After graduating, he taught briefly in Surabaya before moving to Yogyakarta and opening a studio in the Karanggeneng District. After moving, he found his signature style in his distinctive colourful disks paired with fantastical animals and a penchant for grandeur.
