Founded in 1990, 33 Auction is the leading Singapore-based auction house specialising in Modern & Contemporary Asian art, including one Southeast Asia’s strongest Singaporean Art & sculpture portfolios. We serve private collectors, museums, and institutions throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities/What you'll do
- Relevant background − A degree in Art History, Business, Marketing or a related field is helpful, but equivalent professional experience is welcome.
- Client-facing experience − Experience in the art market, luxury goods, wealth management or any field that emphasises relationship-driven sales is helpful
- Network building − An existing circle of high-value collectors is advantageous, otherwise, ability in developing new client relationships is equally valued.
- Communication skills − Clear, confident and persuasive communicator (written and spoken)
- Language skills − Business fluency in English is required, other languages, especially Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia, are preferred to communicate with clients and associates from the respective regions
- Personal style − Amiable, proactive and results-oriented, with strong organisational skills and comfort working toward targets
Requirements
Source consignments − Identify and persuade collectors, museums, estates and private owners to consign high-value artworks for auction or private sale
Develop buyer interest − Promote available lots to high-net-worth collectors and institutions, driving competitive bidding and private-sale opportunities.
Client relationship management − Provide personable, informed service that builds long-term trust and repeat business
Market outreach & networking − Attend art fairs, gallery openings and industry events; leverage your network to uncover new consignors and buyers
Sale preparation − Collaborate with cataloguing, marketing and operations teams to research artworks, prepare catalog entries and support pre-sale viewings and auction day.
