Linda explained that the works of the sculptors have been collected by important collectors around the world, both individuals, art galleries, and museums. The works of the three great artists have also succeeded in breaking high sales records at world art auction houses, Christie's and Sotheby's.
"Their artworks are hard to find because they are rare and made in very limited quantities. Therefore, art lovers and collectors must come here to see the beauty of Cai Zhisong, Ren Zhe, and Jia Wei's sculptures firsthand," he added.
Rows of Beautiful Statues
Entering the exhibition space, visitors' eyes are immediately spoiled with rows of beautiful sculptures made of fiberglass, resin, bronze, stainless steel, and even LEGO blocks. The three artists have their own characters and inspirations when creating the sculptures, which are generally large in size, between 1-2.5 meters.
Cai Zhisong for example, he is one of the most iconic and famous Chinese sculptors of our time. In 1997, Cai Zhisong graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts majoring in Sculpture. From 1998-2008, he taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts majoring in Sculpture.
Due to his talent, he received the Taylor Prize in 2001 at the Paris Autumn Salon when he was 29 years old, the highest award won by a Chinese artist in its 103-year history.
Quality Raw Materials
In 2011, he was invited to participate in the 54th Venice Biennale. Then, in 2012 he was selected as one of the global "100 Art Leaders" on the cover of "Art Actuel" in France.
Another prestigious award was also received in 2016, when he was awarded the China Robb Report Artist of the Year "Best of the Best". He has also held more than a dozen solo exhibitions worldwide and participated in group exhibitions.
"Cai's sculptures are famous for using quality raw materials, the level of difficulty in the process is also very high, as seen from the details of the arowana fish, deer, and peacocks which are all made of titanium, bronze, and stainless steel. Just look at the lines and details," said Linda, while pointing to a gold-colored arowana fish statue that was made in great detail and with high artistic taste so that it looks very lifelike.
