Founded in 1990, Linda Gallery is the premier gallery for East & Southeast Asian contemporary art and sculpture, operating in Singapore, Beijing, and Jakarta. We curate museum-quality exhibitions and art-fair showcases that connect leading regional artists with collectors worldwide.

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Art Curator who is passionate about art presentation, exhibition design, and storytelling — someone who can bring both creativity and structure to every show.

Key Responsibilities/What you'll do

- Curate and conceptualize exhibitions — develop curatorial themes and select artworks that align with the gallery’s artistic direction and market goals.

- Design and plan exhibition layouts — from wall arrangements and artwork placement to visitor flow and lighting coordination.

- Artist liaison — communicate and collaborate closely with represented and guest artists to develop and present their works effectively.

- Research & writing — prepare exhibition texts, wall labels, and press materials that convey strong artistic narratives.

- Collection management — assist in cataloguing, documentation, and care of artworks in the gallery’s collection.

- Public & client engagement — present exhibition concepts to collectors, institutions, and media; lead guided tours when needed.

- Cross-department collaboration — work with marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive exhibition presentation and storytelling.

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Art Curator who is passionate about art presentation, exhibition design, and storytelling — someone who can bring both creativity and structure to every show.


  • Experience — 2–5 years in curatorial work, exhibition management, or related art field.

  • Academic background — Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or related disciplines preferred.

  • Strong communication — Excellent writing and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia; Chinese language ability is a plus.

  • Creative vision — A refined curatorial eye and understanding of both artistic and commercial aspects of exhibitions.

  • Team-oriented — Collaborative, well-organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international gallery setting.

  • Flexibility — Available to support exhibition openings, art fairs, and occasional evening or weekend events.
