For almost 10 years, he taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the Sculpture department.
He has received many awards, such as in 2016, when he received the China Robb Report Artist of the Year "Best of the Best" award.
He has also held more than a dozen solo exhibitions worldwide and participated in group exhibitions.
"Cai's sculptures are famous for using quality raw materials, with a high level of difficulty in the process. This can be seen from the details of the arowana fish, deer, and peacocks which are all made of titanium, bronze, and stainless steel. Just look at the lines and details," said Linda Gallery Owner, Linda Ma, on the sidelines of the exhibition which is open to the public until September 1.
The art exhibition entitled "A Symphony of Art" is open every day from 10.00-22.00.
Linda explained that the sculptors' works have been collected by individual collectors, art galleries and museums.
The works of these three artists also broke sales records at world art auction houses, Christie's and Sotheby's.
"Their artworks are hard to find because they are rare and made in very limited quantities. Art lovers and collectors must come here to see the beauty of their sculptures firsthand," he added.
Ren Zhe's works have a different charm.
In contemporary Chinese sculpture , Ren Zhe is best known for his stainless steel warrior sculptures that convey a sense of stillness and weighty power.
Born in Beijing in 1983, Ren studied at the Academy of Sculpture at Tsinghua University.
From an early age, he had a fascination with the heroic figures depicted in the epic stories of mythology and ancient times as well as classical works.
“His works are widely collected by institutions around the world and have won prestigious international awards. Ren has held solo exhibitions in China , New York, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan – most notably at the Taimiao Temple of the Palace Museum in Beijing in 2019 and Hong Kong Exchange Square in 2017. As a sculptor who has been able to stay consistent with the character of his sculptures for almost 20 years, owning a Ren Zhe work is an investment,” Linda explained.
In an art exhibition dominated by gleaming bronze sculptures , a contrasting red partition appears in the middle of the exhibition space.
A row of cute hippos lined up from the largest to the smallest figure titled "Ruhua Baby-Matrix Hippo" stole the attention of exhibition visitors, especially young visitors.
“This is the work of sculptor Jia Wei. Not only a sculptor, he also has a talent for painting. The main character in his works is a little girl named Ruhua. The artworks in the Ruhua series peek into Jia Wei’s perspective and are a visual manifestation of his critique of the world around him,” Linda explained.
The animated characters reflect the artist's childlike essence and reflect the inner child he carries within him from youth to adulthood.
Jia Wei had experienced difficult times in his life, but painting and sculpting opened the way for him to heal from the storms of his life.
Due to his outstanding artwork, in the past 10 years, Jia Wei has won 568 awards.
Visitors can also see paintings by artists Raduan Man (Malaysia) and Allen Teng (Singapore).
